We’re turning 10!

Ten years ago a group of ordinary people gathered to remember the Gospel and sing to Jesus at a local bookstore in Downtown Claremont. From day one, Solid Rock Church was an intergenerational, diverse, and unified community longing to make disciples. Honestly, people said it couldn’t be done, but God did! We are amazed that we’re turning 10, and we want to celebrate and party because God has been so kind and faithful to us!

We’re excited to invite you to a special dinner party on September 17th at 6p! We’ve rented out a local restaurant in Downtown Claremont called Union on Yale; we’ll have tons of great food, drinks, great surprises, special gifts and more! And as always, this event is completely free.

Invite a friend and join us on June 3 from 9a-11a as we give out some delicious coffee at Nambah in downtown La Verne for FREE! We love our neighbors and can’t wait to serve them!

How can we support refugees in our community?

Join us on May 28 at 9am as we gather to worship Jesus and respond to the word together. At our gathering we will hear from Lisa Rodriguez-Watson on God’s heart for refugee and the churches calling to care for refugees.

Lisa serves as president of Missio Alliance and has spent decades caring for and advocating for refugees. You can learn more about her and her organization by visiting this website. You can also read some of her recent writings by clicking here.

Does God Care About Refugees?

For centuries the Christian church has led the way in having compassion and care for refugees. In the last couple of decades polarizing politics have prevented the church from serving the poor, the marginalized, and the refugees. Join us on May 27 at 5pm for a dinner with the leadership of Solid Rock Church and the President of Missio Alliance, Lisa Rodriguez-Watson, as we reconsider what it means to be a leader in compassion and care for refugees.

This event is free, so invite a friend and join us!

Celebrate Easter with us!

Can you believe that this year is our 10th Easter gathering?! We couldn’t be more excited to gather with you to worship the resurrected Jesus!

Join us on April 9 at 9AM as we gather at Solid Rock Church. During this Sunday will have fresh coffee and healthy snacks for you. We’re even making plans for a food truck to come thru so we can all share a celebratory meal! More than ever, we want to encourage you to invite friends and family to this Easter celebration!

Join us, as we go all out, and celebrate God’s faithfulness to raise Jesus, and to give us 10 incredible years together!

Join us on April 7 at 6PM as we gather on Good Friday and consider the paradox of good news in our King being crucified. We will reflect on scripture, sing together, and have a short homily.

A recent Vox article was titled "The Male Friendship Recession" highlighted how disconnected, isolated, and lonely most men are. Unfortunately this isn't just a national stat, but the reality many of us face.

For us as disciples of Jesus, it ought not be this way, we have an opportunity to build real and strong friendships that will help form us to be the men God intended us to be.

Join us on March 11 at 10am for a short teaching, vision for discipleship as men, breakfast, and opportunity to build friendship with other men who are seeking Jesus and his kingdom!

Join us for Vision Sunday at 9am!

Lately we have been singing a song called “New Wine.” Here is one of the lyrics that sings of the new work of God is bringing forward:

"You are making new wine In the soil I now surrender You are breaking new ground"

We believe God is making new wine in and through us here at Solid Rock. Join us as we consider the vision God has given us as church to build groups of disciple-missionaries who love the Pomona Valley, how we will pursue it, and your role in it. See you Sunday!
